Nigeria’s economy runs on more than 40 million businesses. Eight in ten of them sit outside the formal tax net — not because they want to evade, but because compliance is so prohibitively complex it crushes the very businesses it’s meant to support.

Founded in Lagos

TaxAm starts as a single FIRS filing tool for SMEs in Surulere. First 50 customers within the quarter.

2023

Series A — ₦2.4B

Backed by Ventures Platform, Future Africa, and a syndicate of Nigerian operators. Team grows to 24.

2024

All 36 states + FCT

First platform with direct integration to every Nigerian state IRS. ₦240B in tax flows tracked.

2025

10,000 customers

Crossed 10,000 active businesses. Launched the AI compliance engine. Filed our 100,000th return.

2026
